HELP I'm stuffing my envelopes - quick question

Does the response card go in the envelope or do I leave it separate from the envelope when sending out the invites???

We put it under the envelope flap but not inside the envelope.

oh no, my mom is telling me something different. I don't know what is right??? I just want to get these ouit by tomorrow. Any other opinions?
