Help - invitation wording?

FH and I are paying for our wedding ourselves but we want to mention our parents by name on the invitation. What is the proper way to do this:

a. Bride's first, middle and last name
daughter of parents' first names
and
Groom's first, middle and last name
son of parents' first names

b. Bride's first and middle name
daughter of parents' first and last names
and
Groom's first and middle name
son of parents' first and last names

or

c. Bride's first, middle and last name
daughter of parents' first and last name
and
Groom's first, middle and last name
son of parents' first and last names

TIA!!!!!

Thanks girls! I just checked like 10 'wedding etiquette' websites and they all seem to say C... I guess it sounds more formal but it's an awful lot of last names, especially if you have a long last name like I do!

I vote B as well.

I would change my vote to C if you had a different last name than one of your parents (such as if your mom remarried or went back to her maiden or something).

If all parents are still maried, I would go with B

Re: Help - invitation wording?

Thanks everyone! Both sets of our parents are still married but neither is hosting the wedding - we are. So option B would look like this (fake names used):

Mary Anne
Daughter of John and Susan Smith

and

Thomas Michael
Son of Richard and Louise Brown

Request the honor of your presence....

Is this right? it looks weird to me because it's at the very beginning of the invitation.

I would also go with B. I think it looks fine. You could always put a opening sentence, like...Our life together
begins this day... or something like that.

We just wording it as this:

Jane Smith (obviously not our names)

&

John Doe

Together with their parents

request the honour of your presence at their marriage on (date)
where, etc etc

you get the rest!!

Theres few different ways, its really up to you guys!!

good luck!!
