Help! Invite wording

Ok I have two options and one of them does not make sense to me, but maybe its just me

#1
Together with our parents
Mr & Mrs blah
and
Mr. blah
request the honor of your presents as we
Bride
and
Groom
are united in marriage

or
#2
Together with our parents
Mr and Mrs
and
Mr and Mrs
we request the honor of your presents as
Bride
Groom
are united in marriage

any suggestions or changes would be great!!!!

I would go with number 1... it has a better flow...

just make sure you change 'presents' to 'presence'

Re: Help! Invite wording

Just an observation.

It is traditional to ONLY use 'request the honour....' if you are getting married in a house of worship.

You can do anything you want, but its traditional to use that wording only for a house of worship.

Also if you do use Honour, use the old world spelling as I have.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Example~~~~~~~~~~~~~
name of bride)
and
(name of groom)
request the honour of your presence
at their marriage
on (weekday name),
the (day of month, spelled out)
of (month)
at (time, spelled out) o'clock
(name of church)
(address of church)
(city, state of church)
#1 flows better IMO. and I think you are okay using request the honor ...
I'm getting married at the RH and we put that on our invite.
