I havnt been on here in a long time but thought I would come to you for your expert advice.
My friend is getting married in 5 weeks and ordered her bridesmaids gowns from Pearls Place in Louisannna . Problem in with katrina we dont know if pearls place even exsits right now. She has been trying to call for 3days now and no answer no machine no nothing. So now she is about ready to kill me since I recommended them. Has anyone heard anything from them in the past few weeks??
We are trying to contact the dress mfg right now to see if they can make good on the order but who knows what they are going to be able to do. We are not even sure if the dresses were shipped to pearls place or if they actually shipped them to her already.
I just feel bad that I gave her the idea to order them online. If anyone has any info please let me know
Thanks in advance

Re: Help is Pearls Place underwater ??
First of all, this is not your fault. Who would've known such a natural disaster would happen?
I did some research, and from what I can figure, they haven't been heard from since before Katrina hit. You can try to do more research and see if there is another bridal shop that associates with them. There's a good shot seeing if that happens.
Otherwise, I suggest telling the bridesmaids to find a dress in the wedding color. Whether they match or not is not the worst thing in the world. It totally ***** for those that bought the dresses, but you need to spring into action. Please tell me that the bride bought wedding insurance.

This is so not your fault, but the reason they aren't answering any phones or machines picking up is that there is no electricity I believe in teh city still which would explain part of the problem. Your best bet is to call teh manufacturer first to see what they say, maybe they can help you out. Also is there an email address for them maybe they are answering emails even though they aren't answering the phones. Also I am sure if they lost everything including their own homes unfortunately the last thing on their minds is people's dresses. You might want to do what the above woman said or go to a david's bridal where you can in some cases leave with the dress the same day. Good luck!
