help! Its 73 days till my wedding and my dress looks terrible on me

I bought a dress at a sample sale and I had a seamstress take it in for me. Its not good! She took it in too much and I hate the way it looks on me also too short!! Where can I get a dress at this late notice without spending a fortune. I have been in tears all weekend. Please help

Sorry to hear this.

Try Bridal World in Baldwin. Be careful of the alterations department, I have heard mixed reviews.
Saw in the paper Kleinfelds is have a sample sale tomorrow.
If your up for a trip go to Vows in Massachusetts, the show on TLC.

Maybe you can take it to a better seamstress? Alterations by Gina is great and she'll tell you right away if she can fix it.

Thanks for the tip. Thats the problem-alterations. I bought the dress in April in Bridal Reflections in Carl Place. Love the dress, but they wanted $500 for minor alterations and said it was a 'rush job' with only three months till the wedding. I have a woman who used to work in alterations in a bridal store, I have used her many times for other dresses. I don't know what it is but the dress looks awful. She is going to make a few more 'adjustments' and I will pick it up Thurs. I hope I feel better about it. If I do get another dress I dont want to use her again for the alterations.

Great! I would like to salvage the dress, I love it and paid a lot for it. Do you have Gina's # or can tell me where she is located?

My future aunt is a seamstress in brooklyn and makes custom gowns- if you want her info I can give that to you as well- she's is bay ridge

I found my dress at Estelle's and i walked out with it the same day and at a good price.'
