we had arranged to have our RD at a cute little italian place in midtown and the owner just called and said he'd booked another party for the same night and time. so now we don't have a restaurant! damn damn damn!
we're looking for a place that can host about 30 people, casual, kinda near grand central, for around $40 pp. any ideas ladies? TIA.

There is a cute bar/restaurant on 39th and lex called Saga...they would be in your price range and the food is really good.

Try Cibo - they have prixe fixe dinner for about $40 per person including tax/grat..They;'re on 2nd avenue and 47th Street!

It's not exactly were you want it but D'Nicos in little Italy used to be my favorite restaurant in the world when I worked in the city and Merchants was another good one.
