Hi all- My fiancé and I are looking to hold our reception under a tent. All the places I've been finding only do out door cocktail hour not the whole recpetion. If anyone has ideas out there - we would really appreciate it!! Dréa

Re: Help-Looking for a tented reception
The museum is beautiful and they give you the grounds for the day (which is huge). I don't know what you are looking to spend but if i remeber it's between about $3000-$5000 rental fee (depending on things that you want to use). you can only use their approved caterers and they run between $100-$250 (but i think that is with the plates and everything). You should go and look, it is beautiful. I didn't know they had a lot of restrictions at botanical gardens, my FSIL is getting married there (Queens Botanical Gardens) in august and the only thing she told me was that they had to end by 10p.m.
Good Luck Planning

Re: Help-Looking for a tented reception
I would check out the wineries out east. They are beautiful and many of them require a tent. Check out liwines.com. it will list all the wineries with websites and phone #s.

Check with Flower Fields. I do believe that they hold receptions under tents outdoors for the whole reception. Good luck, hope that helps.
Thank you sooo much, Wacky!!! I can't wait to check it out!!

Re: Help-Looking for a tented reception
The Lido Golf Club just got a brand new tent. I'm not sure if they do the entire reception under it or just the cocktail hour. It probably depends on the number of guests. I am getting married there in June and Eric has been wonderful to us. Call him...they are very accomodating.

Re: Help-Looking for a tented reception
Thanks Kelly for your reply. I actually went to talk to Eric on Friday. They only do cocktail hour undder the tent. Eric was very nice and his food looked delicious but I have to rule it out because of what we want. Thanks again!

Re: Help-Looking for a tented reception
i know gansett is wonderful but it is too too far away from my church. =( I need to rule out all vineyards for that reason also. I also considered a bunch of parks however then I would have to rent porta-potties. Would you want to pee in a porta-potty with a really nice dress on? I know I don't even with jenas on!
