HELP!! Looking for a Town Clerk that doesn't require a birth certificate!!!!
Help! We need to get our marraige license today, and neither of us has our birth certificate! Where could we go in suffolk county? Thanks!

I don't know where you are going but the town clerk in hempstead just needed two forms of picture id... Drivers L. and passport.

my mother had misplaced my birth certificate...but I needed it to get my passport...so I went to Town Hall that issued my orginal Birth Certificate and paid $10.00 for a new one...of course when I got home with the new birth certificate my mother had located the orginal.

Try Smithtown ... I don't remember what we used but I know DH had ordered a copy of his & it just never came.

hmm...why dont you call and ask.. i seriously doubt the rules will change from one office to another is this is a state law. get your birth certifcate from the town hall you were born in. it takes them 5 mins to stamp, seal and retreieve

I think it IS a state law to have a a birth certificate, but certain town halls are just aa little fmre rebellious, I guess.

do you have a baptism certifcate. I know they will count that. Miltery ID too, and a passport.

We got ours at Hempstead's town clerk and all we gave them wasb our driver's license and an insurance card.
