Re: HELP!! looking for a unique & different wedding location
We wanted something different as well. Try the following:
Hudson Valley: Glenmere Mansion Onteora
Long Island: Manhasset Preserve Nassau County Museum Vanderbilt Centerport woffler estates Pridwin: Shelter Island other vineyards The Aquirium out east - I have heard is really interesting
My location is in the middle - it is a huge historical mansion, not really a catering hall - which has its pros and cons. Unique - yes.
Search for unique weddings - i know others have posted.
FYI - I have been to flowerfields for a wedding - the cocktail hour room is really unique, but the dinning room is not. It was great.

I'll throw in a plug for The Riverview in Oakdale. It's a beautiful waterfront restaurant (you get the whole place) and we're getting married there outside in a gazebo.
