I went to spectrym for my e-pics yesterday and for what I paid, they did a crappy job!! She had to redo my eyes b/c I looked like a clown and she rolled her eyes at me when I very nicely asked her to make them a little less dramatic. It was $75, and the makeup artist was 30 minutes late!!

You can try Angel Spa in Astoria, they do a mineral make-up for $75 and the ladies there are magnificent.

I've heard nothing but good things about Giorgio's on Lefferts by the LIRR. you should try them. My friend goes to Michael and she always looks great. I don't think they're crazy either.

Thanks guys! I just got home and read all of your posts...I guess I'll just try the MAC counter or Georgio's, although I need to be IN the city at 11:30...the MAC counter probably doesn't open til 10, right?

you can slao try Sephora. But i have to admit that I'm a mac fanatic. If you buy $70 woth of products they do it free, so i think it's a better deal!
