we met at a sweet 16 in 1995!!!

he proposed by tricking me into thinking he was going away on business for v-day and felt guilty for leaving so we had to celebrate early...to make a long story short..i thought my surprise was tickets to a play and then he said to look under the couch so I really thought I was getting the gazelle...I had asked for it and he argued with me saying we'd have no place to store it when we lived together...my argument was that it folds and goes under the couch! when I went to look, I turned around and he was on one knee...he opened a ring box and it had his roommates college ring in it (HE IS ALWAYS BUSTING MY CHOPS!) I was confused and he said 'this isn't the ring you were hoping for was it?' and then pulled out my ring from his pocket!

that's the short version..many other clues were dropped that I didn't get throughout the day..it was very romantic!
