Are/Did you have the FG and RB introduced at your reception? Also, did you seat yours and FHs sides on different sides of the room at the reception, or did you mix them together?

Re: Help Me
We mixed all the family up. We didnt' want to keep them seperated. We're all family now.....it's time to get to know each other....and it worked out great for us
We didn't have a flower girl or ring bearer......so I can't help you with that.

Re: Help Me
We're having the FG & RB announced. The FG is our daughter though so we kind of have to.
We're trying to seat my guests on one side & his guests on the other (mostly out of insistance from the parents), but we have to do some mixing of our friends to make the tables even.

Re: Help Me
our FG was announced -- she was so adorable
and since our invitation list was so uneven (my side of friends and family was like 75% of the guest list) we just kept it mixed.

Re: Help Me
We are planning on having our flower girls announced at the reception. As for the tables, we just got our seating chart and are going to try to figure it out sometime this week.

Re: Help Me
Here is what we planned to do:
The family thing will be easy as our families don't exactly get along We plan to seat the families on either side, with the kids all at one table (that is the only family that will mix!) We also plan on placing all older family at the next closest table to our immediate family, so they won't have the DJ blasting in their ear.
As per announcing the FG and RB, we plan on doing it! They are waaay tooo cute not to!

Re: Help Me
I think if the kids are up to it and not too afraid to walk into the room..then announce them. People always get a kick out of seeing the little cuties rn in!
Our hall didnt have 2 seperate sides of the room to split family into. We put tables of people who knew each other close together but they're all sort of mixed together. I was more concerned about keeping my divorced parents seperate so we made FMIL's table the buffer table between the 2 of them! LOL

Re: Help Me
we don't have a FG or RB, but we are mixing up both sides. granted, FH's side is only 2 tables, but we're not even doing bridal party tables and the 2 tables that are my FH's are on seperate sides of the room.

Re: Help Me
We dont have a FG and RB but we are seating his family on one side and mine on the other. We had no choice as my FMIL had to do FH family seating due to certain issues and certain people couldn't sit near each other. We got tired of going back and forth and just told her to do it. I wasn't happy at all. But if it was a perfect world and everyone got along I would pick to mingle and mix everyone.
