help me complete this outfit please....

so i bought this dress at VS the other day ... was planning on wearing it to DH's company holiday party next week ...

but should i wear leggings with this dress or will that be stupid? and black shoes, right? can i wear boots (i don't really have any 'fancy' boots' or should i just stick with heels?

i don't want to look under-dressed (dress code is like a wedding) ... but i also don't want to freeze my butt off either

Definitely dark tights or leggings. I have a pair of flat, dressy leather boots that I'd probably wear with it, but heels work just fine, too!
