DH and I just got married this past weekend! Our honeymoon is booked for the summer because I am a leave replacement teacher and did not know when my spring break would be...yada yada. I have off next week. We want to do a little weekend getaway...I was thinking out east. Any suggestions for this such as where to stay or what to do would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

I love Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Especially this time of year, it is still cool but nice enough to walk on the beach and shop. Plus it's not too far away, but far enough that you feel like you are on vacation.

in NJ there is this ADORABLE/ROMANTIC B&B..they are a little pricey but well worth it...its called seacrest by the sea...it has been quite sometime since we have gone but its not tooo long of a ride and its awesome..
in port jeff there are some really nice hotels..you could stay there..there is shopping and great resturants in that area!

Or you can try the Poconos or the Catskills. B&B's are relatively inexpensive up there and you can do horseback riding, hiking and all that fun stuff. An ex and I did that one year, and it was only 500 for the weekend. Good luck!

Niagara Falls!!! we stayed at the marriott by the falls it was a blasT!!!! they even upgraded our room cuz we told them it was our 1 yr anniv... we paid $400 for 3 nights and we had a huge jacuzzi and a fire place in our room and were on the strip we didnt even use our car the whole time we were there

Coven Haven in the Poconos. FH and I really like it there. Their rooms are are a little outdated, but we've always enjoyed it and the people are nice.
