I am a bridesmaid for a friend and today I went to David's to try on the different dresses she wants us to choose from. Since they weren't very busy, I was also able to work with someone for wedding gowns.
There was one dress I love - except for the fact it was a halter. They said they didn't have the option to make it strapless, and based on the lack of boning I could tell they were right.
Can someone let me know if they've seen a similar dress in strapless. I like the empire waist, the lace with the sparkles in top, and I LOVE the way the lace drapes open in the front.
If anyone has seen something similar, please let me know.
Thanks, I do plan on bringing the pic. I know Maggie Sottero as some lovely lace dresses so I plan on going to stores that have her stuff. The same with James Clifford's line.

I was going to suggest James Clifford. I couldn't decided if i wanted lace or not and i eventually decided against it but i tried on a lot of really pretty lace dresses from James Cliford.

If you love everything about the dress, consider bringing the pic and the details of the dress to a local seamstress. Just because David's says it can't be so, doesn't necessarily mean that a creative seamstress can't find a way to make it work!! Things like boning can be added. And sometimes there is a creative solution! My seamstress is like a magician sometimes, I swear lol.
I would definitely bring it to another tailor. The place I found my dress told me they couldn't alter it to what I wanted, so I went to another location and they did it for me no problem. They took off all lace on top and made it strapless for me and it turned out beautiful
