This dress has nothing on it- no beading, no lace, NOTHING. It has a sweet heart neckline and the waist is cut on a diagnal- it is not completely an A-line dress but slightly cut that way. The bottom half of the dress is quite puffy but almost falls in layers. the material is Silk!
I hope you all can help me find this dress!! I tried it on at Iman in Glen Head I tried looking at there website to find it but didnt see it- i may have overlooked it but I dont think that it was there!

it's sick that I know this - but I think you are talking about a Marisa Gown - their website is not working now. . . . . I'm looking for a pic, so I can give you the style # of the dress that I am thinking of.

no that isnt it :( BUT thank you soooooooo much for lloking-- the bottom is big and puffy and the way it falls looks like layers and you can distinctly see the angled down cut in the front

Ugh I can so picture this dress in my head. I have NO idea who the designer is. I'm gonna look around though.
ETA: The dress in my head is a Marisa, too, I think. Maybe something like this except bigger at the bottom?

Hmmm then maybe it's not the one I'm thinking of. I think the Marisa gown has rouching. It's like a shiney silk, right? And the one I'm thinking of is much poofier on the bottom, but the layers are pretty distinct. I'll keep looking.

ETA: did it have any flowers on it? There is a dress on their website that almost sounds like it could be the dress, but it has flowers on one hip

I know! I know of a Marisa dress that is what you are describing! I just cant find it online!
