So I have asked a few people, but not many. Round about Estimates for the following:
Photographer: want 2 taking pics:(i was told @6k w/videographer) Videographer: hawaii 2 wk honeymoon: (I was told @7k) Rehearsal Din(@45 guests) Invites (approx 125): Im estimating $800-$1000 DJ: does $2500 sound right?
Anything will Help, Thanks
Oh and I got a check for my Limo & gown this weekend !!

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
I think the invites sound pretty high. But it all depends on how intricate you get with them. If you wanted to save money, invites is a good place to save money. You could easily get them for 400-500.00, possibly even less. Everything else sounds pretty correct!

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
Thankyou girls, I'd hate to plan around an estimate and then get thrown for a oop if I were far off! Thanks again! You guys are great!

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
I love to keep the invites as low as possible, yet still make them beautiful. I'd even do it DIY if that saves. I haven't really looked into them yet.

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
i think invites could b cheaper
you could prob get nice invites for $4-5 each. your estimate is like $7-10 which is a pretttttty nice invite!!!
my photo is around 4k two photographers, album, parent albums, epics, epic album and tons of enlargements
my video is around 5k but that is def not the norm, you can find video cheaper depending on what you want
if you want a more simple video then you can prob do photo/video for 5-6k...i know duet and tp would prob be around that price

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
I found a 2 week Hawaii honeymoon to be more than your estimate, but I don't know what type of hotel you were wanting to stay at...

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
To save on invites look on etsy.com. Designing mine now and they're probably going to cost me about $500 and they're 100% customized.

Depends who you book with - I'm spending less than $6K for video + photo and I'm getting great packages w/ great people.
For Hawaii - depends on the hotel you're staying at, but when I looked at it to go to two different places including extra for food, trips, came close to $10K.
Invites you can spend less than that depending on how fancy you want them to be.
DJ I'm also spending less on it - but that sounds about right from what I've heard from other people.

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
My photographer with albums and prints and 2 photographers was under $2K but they are booked up for 2011... Definitely look around for photographers and videographers, there are many around the NY area.

Re: Help me get an idea... vendor estimates
I think the DJ could be cheaper. My initial package was 1900 and then I added uplighting so now I'm at $2500.

Who are you using on Etsy if you don't mind me asking? I was quoted one price and then I made a few changed and then the girl hiked it up to $8.00 per invite.
