So some of my real nails of course brike two days before my wedding. So the day before the wedding I went to get them done and they put fake ones on. They used like a piece of fabric and then they were dipping my nails in powder. They called them a perm french. Now my nails are growing out and Ive filed them down a bit, but I have no idea how to get them off!! And now people are saying they will damage my real nails! I specifically said to the nail people not to do anything that will damage my real nail!
Anyway how the heck do I get these things off?

You need to soak them in pure acetone. It will take a while but soak them for at least a half hour.
Your nails may be a bit damaged but since you just had them recently they wil probably recover quickly.

put nail polish remover in a small bowl and put your nails in there and let it soak for a while. Slowly it will come off and you can file away the rest but most will come off after its left in the nail polish remover for a while...the base of your nails youll have to file a bit

OMG I just recently went through that mess! I soaked my nails in nail poilish remover for a really long time and then took nail clippers and started breaking them and ripping them off. They were kind of damaged which I don't think you can help when you get fake nails. But buy a nail buffer and use that on the top...they'll look fine!

Yes soaking them in nail polish remover with acetone is the best way.

It won't hurt, it can get boring so park inf ront of the TV with a movie or something and just let your fingers soak. Before you know it they will be off.

yeah i always let my real nails grow, of course theyve been nice and long for a while now and i broke 5 nails recently and had to cut them all...so now i will have to wear fake ones for my wedding which i didnt want to do oh well but not going to get them that long and i wont get acrylic or anything like that.
You didnt have them on long so dont worry your natural nails shouldn't be too bad

Just as the other ladies have already said use acetone - Go to CVS, etc. and pick up a bottle of pure acetone - it is inexpensive. Only about $3-4 for a large bottle. Treat yourself to a bottle of nailtique or nailtek formula 2. $19.99 per bottle like clear nail polish and your nails will be just like new in no time at all. The last time i told one of the girls here about it she found it on ebay for $9.99 including the shipping

when you soak them off---take a larger bowl and put some really warm water in it--and then take the bowl that you have the acetone in, and put it inside that bowl. something about the heat helps activate the acetone better too.
