Help me get rid of this cold by Sat.

My wedding is Saturday and I've got a nasty cold. I know the best cure is rest but you all know what a joke that is the week before the wedding! Rest is out of the question. I have so much to do! Help! Post any cures you have for a cold. I feel so crappy. I've got my chicken soup ready for lunch!

I had a cold about 2 weeks before my sis's wedding- I drank almost a gallon of gatorade each day for 4 days- it was gone. I never was a beliver in drinking a cold away but now i am.

I always heard that Cold-eez were good for getting rid of a cold.

Drink lots of clear liquids. Try to rest every spare moment you get. Maybe even give your doctor a call, maybe he/she will have some ideas for you!

I have heard that Ginger cures a cold.
I haven't tried it yet.
You put it in your tea.

Zinc along with tablets of echinacea help build your immune system and get rid og colds, so those two things should help.

Their is an antibidoic that your doctor can give you that you take two pills the first day and then one a day for 5 days. My friend took it for her wedding and after the first day she was better. I will try to get you the name but call your doctor and ask about it, he should know what it is.

oh gosh

i'm sorry to hear that - i am getting married saturday too and have been avoiding getting sick at all costs. I think by Sat you should be a lot better.

I have been taking 1000mg vitamin C per day and someone suggested echinacea. Also Cold Eeze and seriously, good old fashioned chicken soup!!

I got the chicken soup going right now. If I'm not feeling better by tomorrow I'm going to ask my fiance to call his doctor friend and see what she's got for me.

i agree with lots of liquids (green tea too!) and rest. it always does it for me.

I would also recommend taking 1000mg of Vitamin C. I know it helped me get better fast!

I am fighting a cold off as well right now

Echinacea and a drink called Super Samantha's 'Desperatly seeing C' It has lots of vitnim C (take the vitiam if you can not find the drink)
