Help Me GIrls! Need something from New York/Long Island!

My darlin and wonderful FH bought all the supplies for our OOT bags (YAY!) and his mom got fun salt water taffy for 'NJ' but I need something that screams 'NY' but isn't large and doesn't cost a lot.
Thinking something like candy, gum, etc. Something that's very 'new york'....

You should write that they are called black and white cookies, my FH who is upstate calls them half moons. What the heck is that?

bagels pizza pretzels
jeez, we are a 'carby' kind of town...
I would do some good bagels (NYC, NOT LI) and those indiv. packs of cream cheese.
li bagels are the best !!!!

PErsonally, I love the apple idea, but guests may not get the reference, so I say go NY Deli chips.
Also, did anyone mention NY Lotto tix yet?

I also need 60 of everything for my oot bags, and have found that many suggestions are too expensive....zagat guides for 60 people is an outrageous amount of $$$, and so are many other ideas. We got 60 ny kettle chips, and are picking up nyc maps for free from nyc visitor centers....but we got the fifth avenue candy bars in bulk....still not cheap, but a good option.

I love the black & white cookie idea...You can get them in BJ's, Costco or even the grocery stores...I know Stop & shop has mini ones!!! That might be your best bet!

We do that too! I'm from MA.
I have a question though: don't you have to get the cookies really close to the date of the wedding since there is frosting on them and you don't want them stale? Or do they stay well in the fridge?

I am going tomorrow to start picking up many of the things listed... NY Deli chips, water, I have the travelers guide, I need to p/u free maps Where would those be??
I was going to go to a local bakey and get a few things but I am working up until the wedding. Maybe that and the cookies would not work out? Can I wrap the black and white cookies??? TIA for answers!
