My wedding is in 95 days, that's about 13 weeks. All that I know for sure from my RH is when my wedding will be and that will be food there and tables with vanilla linens. I haven't had a tasting, the contract says to call in February at the two month mark but I don't want to wait that long, plus I want to get my menus printed since I approved my proof already. I have no idea who is actually going to be in charge of my wedding as I have not heard from a banquet manager or from anyone really, I always have to call them. I recently got the name of a banquet manager from the manager of the place so I'm going to just call and ask for her I guess. I suppose my question is, what type of communication have you/do you have with your venue? I'm getting worried. Is this normal?

Help...I'm starting to stress big time.

My RH didnt really call me either. I knew who my BM was but she didnt call me and they wont until a few weeks before the wedding to set final times and everything. I called them everytime i thought of a question and they were very happy to help. I also called to set the time of the tasting. Dont be afraid to call non stop. Your paying a lot of money for this and you should feel at ease

My venue (Riviera at Massapequa) never calls me either, tbh. However, whenever I call with my millions of little questions, they always pick up right away and are super helpful.

One tip I got from a LIW bride was to always drop off deposits in person...show up to check out the location during different seasons...etc. Just keep showing your face and build relationships. The last time I was there, I popped in and coincidentally met who will be my BM. She looked at my date and was like 'Oh, I always work those nights - so I'll see you then!' That helped ease my fears a bit!

I would say just reach out to them and ask for an in person meeting -- come with a million questions and get your menu in advance of Feb if it'll help you get some 'checks'

they never really called me.. but if I shoot them an email with a question or anything - I get an answer back within 24 hours.

Mine never calls. They did send out a letter to schedule what they call the final meetin before the last payment. I asked a million questions when I called to make my appointment. Last time I spoke with the GM of the hall was at the LIW showcase and he answered my million and one questions then and always said to call or email if we had questions.
