I am not trying to sell anything on you, but have you tried Weight Watchers?

No I haven't tried WW, but I know me and it will be difficult for me to keep on it. Have you tried it?

Re: HELP ME LOSE IT!

My FH and I are both doing it now. We are on the Flex Plan, which you get a certain # of points to use thru out the day. It's nice b/c it's not a diet, you truely can eat the food you love, it's really about portion control. It really puts into perspective what we eat and how much it affects out weight. For example, I get 24 points for the day, I usually have a cup of cereal (special K, I love that) and an apple for breakfast (3 pts total) and sometimes a cup of coffee (black=0 pts). Lunch, this week I had subway, avg sandwich is 6-8 pts (w/o cheese and mayo) and dinner, depends. One day I have KFC, a breast, side of mashed and side of cole slaw and biscuit, total pts 11. One shocking things for my FH is soda, he drinks A LOT of it. One 12 oz can of soda (not-diet) is 5 pts! Yikes!

I think it will work for us. FH is having some trouble sticking to it right now, but he is trying.

We weigh in on Monday (this is our first week), will let you know how it goes!

-Jill

Re: HELP ME LOSE IT!

I am eating salads, tuna w/o mayo just lemon, english muffin with just jelly, oatmeal...but my huge problem is my FI. He doesn't care what he eats. He eats everything! It is very hard to be dieting alone and refuses to diet with me. so I just gave up out of frustration. I just wish I had the motivation I had a year ago. I would get up and just go. I wouldn't even look at fast food or junk.

Re: HELP ME LOSE IT!

You just need to make goals for yourself and stick to them. Once you get used to eating healthy and working out, you won't even have the urge to eat junk. If you do it'll upset your stomach. Think of this as a challenge and then prove it to yourself that you can do it!

i couldn't have said it better! i did ww and i lost 65 lbs in a year. you just have to put your mind to it, it is not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. i am going to go back b/c i have put some weight on, but the only reason i did was b/c i got extremely lazy! it really is a great program. good luck!
