I'm going to an association dinner this Friday at the Crest Hollow, that is, if I'm still talking to FH by then. I don't know how 'formal' of an occasion it is, so I really don't know what to wear.
I have two options...my original choice is a knee length dress, the top is a black ruched cotton tube top, and the skirt is a poofy white crinoline with black floral beading on it. It's not super formal, but can be dressed up with a black cardigan or shawl.
Now I'm debating getting my 200 bucks worth out of the BM dress from my sister's wedding:
It's obviously more formal, but the colors are more season appropriate. It's too bad I don't have a pic of the other dress to compare. What do you think is best? On the one hand I don't want to look too casual, but on the other I don't want to look like an overdone fool.

I guess I'll save the black and white one for my shower, even though I wore it to my sister's shower as well...oops.

Ehh...he's just being really obnoxious about the wedding planning lately. I feel like I'm going @ss backwards and doing all the little detail things ahead of schedule (because it's something he's not involved in), and he doesn't want to do anything major if it's not on 'his terms'. UGH. So more than a spanking I'd say...a good smack to the face!

Go with the BM dress....it's always better to be over dressed than under dressed...plus that dress is GORGEOUS. I love the colors and you're right, it is color appropriate for the season
