Help me plan a bday surprise!!

Here the situation...

My best friend's (and MOH) birthday is today.
She has been through a rough year...she broke up with her fiance - called the wedding off, and has been through a lot with her family and friends.

Yesterday she found out that her 7 yr old cousin has a brain tumor - and the outlook is grim. So now she is speding her bday at memorial sloan kettering hospital.


We (4 of us ladies) have plans to celebrate her bday on friday - I asked her if she wants us to reschedule - but she said she needs the fun. So we want to plan something fun for her.

It can be anything from cooking to dancing, etc....

does anyone have any suggestions (oh and please say a prayer for her little cousin)

Are you looking for something to do on LI or NYC?

I always like bowling - especially when some places have djs, lights,etc. It might be the best thing to keep her mind occupied.

Also add in some dinner & drinks and you're set.

bowlmore lanes (sp?) is in the city and that has the bowling on the 2nd floor and the 3rd and 4th is a lounge and club sooo much fun!!!

then there is cafewha in the village...also fun with live band..check out cafewha.com

then the hudson hotel has an awesome lounge club that is very class...
