for my FH, not only am i getting married in 39 days but my fh turns 30 a month after the wedding...i am completely stressed over this, i really want a casual cocktail party just an open bar for 3 hours and hordoeurves.....I really wanted a place in the city can anyone reccomend anything PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 56 fighter group in Farmingdale??? I had my FH's 30th there and it was AWSOME!!But its not the city!!!! I tried for the city, there are cool bars in Tribeca with private rooms, but you gotta shop darlin!

Check this place out The Town Tavern in NYC
I had my friends 30th there last July and it was awesome!!!!!!!!

There are 2 floors, they closed off half of the top floor of the bar for the party. Everyone paid 1 price for the open bar and we got wristbands so the bar tenders knew who was with us. It worked out really well. They even let us go a couple of hours before to set up and decorate.
It's not a big place, but for around 30-40 people, it's perfect.

i have a similar problem... FH is turning 30 day after our wedding, so I think I will take him and our parents to dinner when we get back from the honeymoon.
