Okay girls I FINALLY got to the church to measure my aisle for my next DIY. One question remains - where should the aisle runner start from? From point 1 (where we'll be sitting) or from point 2? I'm attaching a picture of the entire aisle, as seen from the church entrance, and then a picture of my super cool picture diagram : ) thanks for helping me decide chicas!

Probably point 2. Point 1 looks like you have to go up 1 step? Man that's a long aisle and a beautiful church!!

Love the diagram!
Definitely point 2. Point one is up on the altar. The runner should only go up to where the first step begins, or where the first pew begins, so in your case, point 2.

The runners normally stop at the step before the alter... so I'd go with point 2... otherwise the person responsible for the runner will have to tape it up on the alter and then again at the base of the step so no one trips on it.

hahah im the only one who said point 1.. but after hearing everyones responses, point 2 makes sense to me as well. i just wanted to say that the church is BREATHTAKING. what a place to get married!!!
