Our best man is getting married. We just invited. It's next Friday. We're going to give cash, but I also want to give them a nice, memorable gift. There is no bridal registry.

Maybe this isn't that memorable...but...is there a restaurant that him and his fiance love to go to? What about a gift certificate to it, along with a nice bottle of wine? You could put both in an elegant bag...or one of those pretty wine bottle holders..
I think thats always a practical but personal gift:)

For $50 or less and memorable...
Here are some ideas: toasting flutes
engraved frame (Pottery Barn has cute ones)
engraved or personalized first christmas ornament (I just got one for a friend, let me know if you want websites)
Album for them to put their proofs in that is either personalized or says Our Wedding (and if possible, take pictures, go to one hour photo and fill it, then give it to them the next day)
Nambe gift (candlestick, tray, etc) They are sold at Bloomingdales and other dept stores
