Help me!!! Wedding dress crisis.
I'm having a major crisis. I went to the Anne Barge Trunk show today where I tried on 5 dresses. This was the first time I've ever tried on wedding dresses but I had an idea in my mind of the kind of dress I wanted. Some of the dresses I tried on today though were nothing like I'd envisioned. You really don't know what you'll like or what'll look good on you until you try it on.
By buying from this trunk show, I can get a dress that won't be in stores til spring 2005 and get 10% off the total price.
So..... one of the dresses I really really loved. It's called the Pamela, made of silk mikado, colored pearl, with the most exquisite beadwork in the front and one the train. After the 10% discount it came up to $3555. I initially didn't want to spend that much on a dress, but after trying dresses on today... it's a different story. The quality in the fabric and detailing is so evident. Most of my friends that are married had a dress custom made for between $750 - $1300. But after trying dresses on for myself, I see the difference in quality and craftsmanship between a custom made gown and a designer gown.
My dilemma is not the price. I could pay that much for the dress and be perfectly fine. It's just that I've only seen the dresses from one designer!! And I have an appointment with Kleinfelds and Sak's next week. What if I find a dress I like better there?! What if I don't find a dress that I like as much as the one I tried on today?! I'm too indecisive to make such a big decision on such short notice!!!
I have until 6:00 pm tomorrow to decide whether or not I want the Anne Barge dress. After that, there's no way I can get that dress. It's gone until it's released in stores next year. Also, it takes 4 months for most dresses to arrive and a month and a half to finish all the alterations. I have less than 6 months til the wedding, so I have to get a dress like yesterday. Ahhhhh!!!!! What pressure!!!
What should I do??????
