HELP ME!!! Window Treatment

Okay I am so stupid when it comes to this....i brought drapes for a two window pane (they are right next to one another) and also got DH to put up the rod and the two things on each side that hold the curtains back...it looks stupid though....I want to put something along the top and i saw it at the store HOWEVER if the two drapes are already through the rod, how would i put that thing through the rod...do i have to get two rods??

The first picture is what i have now (not colors just style) The second one is the thing i want to go along the top....errrrr...

Yes, you will need two rods...and if I am right...you can just get those metal kinds of rods that they sell in the plastic packages. Some of them come with double rods.

Any idea where i can get this other rod...we got a big metal rod from Home Depot awhile ago...so if there something i can just hide behind it or something...
