Help me with Bridal Shower Venues too!

Help me with Bridal Shower Venues too!

My mom's looking for a restaurant w/ a private room or a small room in a catering hall. She would prefer a buffet but we know most restaurants don't do that. We'll (she'll, or i'll ) be inviting about 60 people so it needs to be a decent size.

We checked out bridgeview but it was too much ($60 per person).
We checked out Westbury Manor but the room was too small.
Checked out Pompei in West Hempstead but the room was also too small.

Blue Moon in RVC is an option but i'm also considering that as a rehersal dinner location so i'd rather not have both events in the same place. (Although I do love blue moon!)

Pref. somewhere in Western - Central Nassau (no further then Massapequa)

TIA

this is a em my fsil sent my moh.
btw, fsil and fmil want my shower to be a surprise.
yeah right!! i told my sis/moh i wanted to know everything. lol

1. Luigi's- Italian restaurant in New Hyde Park- we would have a private room-don't know what dates are available- have to call back tomorrow and talk to manager.

There is a $27.95 package- includes a salad and a choice of chicken, fish or pasta, soda and coffee, dessert or cake.

for $32.95 they add a pasta course

we could do carafes of wine or do a champagne punch bowl which is fun but doing beer, wine and soda could get pricey.

2. Umberto's- Italian place in New Hyde Park- we wouldn't have a private room (need 50 people for private room but they would section off an area in their second floor dining room- and no one else would be up there so it would be semi-private. Party has to be from 12-4pm. He said if the bigger private room is not booked he could put us in there but can't guarantee it. Feb 28th and March 7th are open.

Their shower package includes salad, pasta, chicken francese or eggplant rollatini as entrees, soda, coffee, espresso, cake and wine for $33.

3. Crabtree's- little restaurant in Floral Park not far from my house. We would have a private garden room which is very cute. Feb 28th and March 7th available.

$26.95 includes salad or soup and then choice of 3 entrees which we pick, coffee, dessert
All beverages are extra. For $12 more per person unlimited beer, wine and soda.

King Umbertos is kinda expensive. I think the package that we would have gotten was like $50 a person before tax

look at the lessings places. I'm having mine at Bulldog's. They do have a buffet, but they have a bunch of resturants and are not too $$$$

The metropolitan in Glen Cove is great. They have a small private room called The club downstairs with enough room for 50-100+ people. They food and service is great. WE have been to xmas parties there and FH's best friend works there. They are reasonable and they also do buffet. Not exactly your specific location but worth a trip there.

You should check out The Inn in New Hyde Park. I am getting married there but I think upstairs in the cocktail room they have parties and they do buffet. Its really really pretty. Then they have rooms downstairs to choose from also.
