We've decided we want a 'Great Gatsby' style wedding. The BM dresses will be of the era, my dress will 'sort of' be of the era, the tuxes will, our invites too and I'm changing the CP's to ALL WHITE roses, instead of the colors.
What other elements can we include w/out making it look too themey?

Did you check out Tori Spellings wedding? She had a Gatsby-esqe theme. Great theme!

You could hire a professional to come to the wedding to teach everyone a dance from that era.

~Long, slender cigarette holders and cocktail glasses ~Black and white photographs- either of people you know or celebrities of the time period... ~Vintage car instead of limo.

You can use julep cups for the centerpieces...mint juleps were big in that era...especially the Great Gatsby. I'd also wear pearls as your wedding jewelry. A nice long string of peals doubled or trippled.

all are good ideas. I am doing mint julep cp's even though you already decided I think on high cp's- there are pretty tall julep cups out there....
and then you can make that your signture drink.

You have to have a jazz band! and you could also find copies of posters of old movies back in that era. Maybe go online and find old news paper stories and print them out on old looking paper and give them out to guest. Walk around with the long ciggette stick. That was very big back then. You could also go online and find pictures of old adversements of that era too. Its a wedding, don't worry about going to far on the theme. Have fun!
