Hi all! So last night, DH and I get home from work to hear a really funny noise coming from our bedroom wall, near the ceiling. Turns out there is either a nouse or a squirrel stuck between the floorboards under the attic!!!! YUK! I was so grossed out, we even tried to go up in the attic to see if we could scare it out, but it sounds like it's wedged between the floor of the attic and the ceiling of our bedroom. All night all we heard was this scrabbling noise - LOUD!!! UGH - we called two places last night that were supposedly 24 hour on call, but they dont make house calls after 5?? MAN!
So, my question - has anyone else ever had this problem, and if so, can you recommend a better pest control to help us get rid of this annoying thing? ;) Thanks so much for any help!!!

Hey Helena! Ugh, sounds awful! We did have a bird stuck in our wall once, but I won't be of much help--I think it just died (or hopefully got out!) and the noise went away! Good luck!

My parents had a squirrel in the attic. They put rat poisoining out that took care of him

We've got squirrels in our attic too. Sometimes they're so loud it sounds like they're going to crash through the ceiling. We just let them be...we live in the country so it's not a big deal. They're not doing any damage.

Yeah well we've been known to get the occasional squirrel as well (HATE them!), and let me tell ya, they have the ability to do damage. If they just scampered in and out that would be one thing, but they can and will do damage. That scratching you hear is them tearing the sh1t out of your house and eating it. Thats usually how they get in anyway. And they also chew electrical wires which is a fire hazard. So the unlucky squirrel that gnaws their way into our house gets a cracker w/peanut butter hors d'oevre and put up in La Suite Have-A-Heart Trap and disposed of in a way that would make PETA go apesh1t.
(fyi, mice can be just as destructive)

Hi ladies! I just wanted to give an update on my littel 'pest' situation from the other day - and HOORAY, it's GONE!!!!! I was so scared that I was going to come home last night from work to a huge hole in my bedroom and a crazed squirell running around the house!! Thankfully, whatever it was must have found it's way out once it was daylight, and we haven't heard any other noises. Craig and I checked the attic too, and we can't see any visible damage from the inside, or from the out side either. That didn't stop us from running over to the 24hr Home Depot to buy traps and poison though! HAH! I slept MUCH bttter last night without our noisy troublemaker! :) Thanks for your help, and for listening!! :)
