Help my 07 gals-need trash good names for Trash the dress photographers

Hey girls

Ok so just saw a few of the professional proofs and I am not happy.... not happy at all. Because my fricikin family had to amke me 2 1/2 hours later than I wanted to be-I didnt get to get any of the shots I wanted with my hubby. The few we got were rushed and look awful-We got maybe THREE POSES and NONE on the dance floor aside from the first dance and I am trying not to sob because the most important part of this wedding for me was the pics and they totally bomb.

So I want to look into the day after shoots. We cant afford to pay thousands of dollars but I figured I would try and see what is out there and then decide if we should just suck it up and do it. Because I really want fabulous wedding portraits and right now we don't have em. Any and all suggestions for NY annd NJ would be helpfyul. Thanks girls...

Have you tried Angelica Glass. Her day after shoots start at $950.
I'm sorry your not happy w/ your pics! Maybe once you see all the proofs you'll feel better about it.

Oh sorry to hear! The photos you have shared are fab. How about contacting the photography department at local colleges/universities and checking out a student's portfolio? If memory serves me well Vintagegirl & her husband did that and he photos were amazing!

Oh my gosh don't CRYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Its just TOO SOON to be upset, you haven't seen all the proofs yet, I know you didn't get all the POSED ones you want but yes you can ALWAYS do those in a month or so, and you get to wear your dress again :)
The dance floor ones - just WAIT and see what guests have for pictures - the non pros you've shown us already are AMAZING and better than zillions of pro pics I've seen, so PLEASE dont be upset!!!
If you definitely want to redo some you and hubby pix, I gotta plug my photog, the amazing Thomas Paul, who you've read about on these boards no doubt!!!
That's probably a one-hour session, I'd be SHOCKED if it was anymore than a few hundred bucks, i don't think you're in for an outrageous fee!!! And Tom is quite simply amazing, he will work with whatever budget you set, I just know it!!!
You were SUUUUUUCH a beautiful bride, I don't see how your pics can be bad!!! Chin up, post more proofs and we can all help!!!

my first instinct is to say Angelica Glass. yes, it's hard to think about another grand after you have just spent so much, but if they are really disappointing, it will be worth it.

hire Rae Barns from upstate NY!! she did Lool's sister's trash the dress shoot and her pictures are simply STUNNING!!

Im sorry to hear tha also. I would def try a freelance for what you want. Because day after shots can be really expensive almost just as much as the actual wedding ones. So sorry you have to go through this.

her work is amazing!
even tho i loved my proofs, I still wish I had more, or different ones that my photographer forgot to take.....I wish I would have done day after. to think we made good $ on the wedding, we should have done it!
if ur not happy with ur pix, def do them over!

craigslist has an amazing amount of photographers that don't charge $1000 for a day after shoot.. try that :)

Thanks girls. I'll look into Craig's list. DH said he doesnt wnat to spend the money because he thinks its silly-asked where we would display them (he's not a picture guy) and I sorta see his rationale ... but I just wish we had nicer formals of us. why don't you just get some flowers.. at a florist..
wear you clothes again.. find a nice place and get some really nice formals.. there are so many nice parks on the north shore and on long island you can sneak into :)
seriously the shoot should not take more than an hour I would not spend more than $300 ..
