Okay my FILs are planning the RD. MY wedding is in 67 days and no place has been booked. They are last minute nellies and then blame it on other events. So they wanted it at their hotel but now, two months before, the catering rooms are booked. (too bad FILs! your fault totally) they are blaming it on the republican convention which is in manhattan and their hotel is the melville marriott any nassau county places would be great (I live in nassau)

We had ours at Buongusto. It's one of my favorite places. It's in Roslyn on Old Northern Blvd. You have a separate room and the food is amazing.

I had mine at Peppercorn's in Hicksville. They have a very nice private room upstairs and the food was very very good. FM me if you want any more info!!

i know someone who is having something at nicholas james in merrick - they are getting the entire restaurant... or jonathan's or ecco in new hyde park what kind of food do you want to have??

I am having my RD the weekend before yours...we are having it at Theodoro's on 110. Not from from the Marriott. Its across from Loehmann's. Give them a call...they have a big private room.

We are having our RD 2 weeks before you (7/3) at the Rosewood Inn. It is on 110 right when near the LIE so it's about a mile away from the Melville Mariott. My guests (and I) are staying at the Melville mariott too- I was just there yesterday and I saw how close the restaurant is to the hotel. I thought the food was excellent and the prices are so reasonable! They have a private room if your party is big enough. I highly recommend checking them out!

thank you ladies. I love pepercorns and we checked out rosewood which looks great. my FILs do not feel we shoudl be involved in the RD and even though it is MY wedding it is not a concern of mine but I want to be prepared about other places. thanks for the info about the convention that definitely made me laugh! I needed that
