HI- I'm cutting it really close and now I have to get my invitations. I have them picked out. FMIL is a big problem. Well, long story short, I don't speak to my dad much but feel it wouldn't be right if I didn't send him an invitation. FMIL wants her name on the invitations because she is contributing FFIL really does too but won't admit to it because he doesn't like to cause problems. My mom wants whatever is easiest and knows I don't want to hurt my father when he receives an invitations without being on it(he really doesn't deserve being on it- that much we agree). How do I go about doing this so that everyone is happy? Anyone have wording suggestions? I'm desperate and going crazy.

I think that would be best to just put together with our parents but it seems your FMIL wants her name to be on there--see if she woudl go for the together w/ our parents.

I would state it together with their parents. And if nobody likes it- its your wedding. (not to be mean)Tough!!! My fmil didn't like my invites. I told her we are paying for them therefore she rally has no say.

I did 'together with our parents' you can't please everyone, so do what's best for you and your fi. And DON'T enlist people for opinions, I found that to be the absolute worst part of planning, especially FIL's they have a lot of opinions that are advantageous to them, not so much to us brides.

I like that TOGETHER WITH OUR PARENTS- I think that is a compromise but any way I do it she's not going to be happy. How exactly would you word the entire invitation using that? Thanks for all your help.

Yes, and you know who told me not to include FMIL in the planning? Her son, my fi! He said she was going to have her opinion on everything and it was always going to be different than ours, so just keep the details to a minimum. After I listened to his great advice it was smooth sailing!
