help! need a..

therapist, preferably couples or marriage. My friend has been married for over a year and is having issues with her husband. SHe wasnts to go talk to someone.. There are so many therapists out there its so hard for her to choose anyone. Does anyone have any recommendations in the Nassau County area?

Im not familiar with therapists in the area..but Im studying family therapy in grad school and Ive learned alot, ALOT about couples therapy. Many people I know SWEAR by Imago therapy. There are so mnay different techniques and theories different therapists specialize in, what works for one couple may not work for another. Some want to dig into the past and dwell on it, some want to fix the here and now. I have yet to hear one bad thing about Imago therapy. Its for couples and if you go to www.imagotherapy.com you can find some therapists who specialize in this type of therapy in your area...its supposedly very very wonderful and I know people who said they would be divorced if it werent for this form of therapy!!! I go to one that has an office in Amityville, FM me if you'd like more info. I also used to work for them at night doing billing! and most of the therapists are women, one man.
