My MOH has had lots of personal stuff going on lately & I have felt bad pressuring her to go buy a dress(I'm not having any BMs)so she's ready to go shopping, (my wedding is in Oct.)but I need a place that has dresses in stock(besides Davids) or a department store with formal wear that's not too prom-y(she's 36) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Does Macy's bridal salon sell off the rack? Thanks

I got a bridesmaid dress for a wedding this summer at Bloomingdales at Walt Whitman mall.
Sugarplum has a lot of stuff you can buy off the rack. They also do alterations and can do it in a hurry if you need it.

Even Macys - but I agree with Estelle's, although I've never had much luck there. In the back they hace Estelle's II, which is a little more mature than the prom stuff. (Little more expensive too)

Definitely Estelles! My MOH got her dress there and it was exactly what I would have ordered from a salon. She paid only $115 and needed no alterations. It looked just like the dress form dessy that I saw that would have been much more $$.
