ok another situation of mine is that i am planning in under 4 months. therefore, when is it appropriate to have my shower?? usually how far apart is it from the wedding?? and do the invitations for the shower go out before the wedding invitations?? im confused, TIA

I don't believe there really is a set time frame, it can be as close as a few weeks from the wedding and as far as a few months. The shower invitations really don't have to do with the wedding invitations and should coordinate with the timing of the shower.

well I would send your wedding invites out like 2 months before....as far as the shower it depends on when that is gonna be...I dont think it matters which invite they get first.

i don't actually think that there is any requirement for when showers must be held or when the invites go out. You should send your wedding invites out 10 weeks in advance (I was told)

I don't know what the norm is but I know that my shower is less than a month before and I feel like thats too close. In my case my mom is flying up from FLA for my shower going back down and then coming back up again for the wedding a few weeks later. That being said I think if you ave a particular feeling on when you would or would not like it to take place I would make sure its known. If you feel that you will be super busy with planning things still close to your wedding you might request that it is held earlier so that you can save that crucial time at the end for last minute things.
