Re: Help! need advice on Reception Card wording
I like that one too but my mom (and several others) have said that the celebration isn't continuing, its beginning........so what are they saying........my ceremony isn't a celebration? LOL.

Re: Help! need advice on Reception Card wording
LOL, I had the hardest time narrowing down my wording too!
I used the first one... mine said:
Reception
Please join us for cocktails, dinner, and dancing at half past eight in the evening
RH Name Address City, State
BUT.... I actually like your second one! I would go with that one!
I'd separate it like this:
The celebration continues with cocktails, dinner, and dancing at ___ o'clock in the evening
RH Name Address City, State.

Re: Help! need advice on Reception Card wording
I like #2 also, but if you want to compromise with your mom, I've also seen it done this way:
The celebration continues! (centered at the top of the card)
Please join us for ... (everything else underneath)
Not sure how your cards are designed but just an idea!

Re: Help! need advice on Reception Card wording
are you looking for more formal or more fun? IMO the first is more formal, the second a little more fun

Re: Help! need advice on Reception Card wording
I like number two because it is different and the way the wording is unique.

I like #2.
Another alternative is what mine said:
Cocktails, dinner, and dancing to follow at one o'clock in the afternoon at Watermill Caterers Address

Re: Help! need advice on Reception Card wording
Thanks girls! I decided to go with #2! question: should I keep the 'Join Us' as the caption? or should I use 'Reception' as the caption? what are your thoughts??
