HELP! Need hair & makeup for North Fork Wedding!

I am getting married THIS August 2, 2008, and still need hair and make-up for my wedding. I am getting ready at Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport, NY. I need the hair and make-up artists to come to me, in Jamesport, on the morning of the wedding. The problem is, I live in Manhattan, so I can't make it out there for a trial. Ideally, I need someone who can do a trial close to home. I can drive to somewhere close in Long Island if necessary, but Manhattan would be perfect.

I am looking for simple hair and make-up --- a gorgeous, low bun for hair and simple, classic make-up. Can anyone help me?!

You should check out Rosanna Amador for hair and Rouge Makeup Anne Demarco. I know they do trials in NYC. Also, there is Jill Harth but not sure if she has a studio in NYC.

I would call Carolyn at Carolyn's Salon & Boutique . If you've been to Jedediah Hawkins, you've driven past it. It's in that plaza just after the curve in Aqueboge that's set waaaay back off of 25, on the left as you head East. There's a spa and a saddlery, and I think a day care in there also.

We went to her (since my parents live between the salon and JHH), and it seemed silly to pay extra to drive 1/4 of a mile. I'd point you to my review, but the pics don't seem to work.

Mia from the B r ida l l ou nge does both hair & makeup & is amazing...she travels all over the place...check her out. Also, I dont know if she'll come all the way to manhattan for a trial, but my best friend owns her own salon in Hampton Bays. It's called Capri. Let me know if u want her contact info. I just had a hair and make-up trial with Carolyn as well. I was very happy with the way everything turned out. There are pics in my album. Good Luck!!!
