Hello I am planning to get married in june or july of 2010. I would really like a location with a nice outdoor area for the ceremony and cocktail hour and a beautiful ballroom inside. I have about 150-180 guest. I was looking at the following places if anyone could give me their imput about these places I would really be grateful every detail counts! By the way I am thinking about a buffet style dinner does that sound tacky? HELP !!!

George Washington Manor is beautiful! We had my sister's bridal shower there and it was great!!
You should also check out the Old Field Club. It's not on your list but they have a beautiful outdoor area for the ceremony which is right on the water. They also have an outdoor deck for the cocktail area (in addition to indoor space), and their ballroom is gorgeous!! I think the max they can hold is about 160 guests, so if your looking at 180 it probably wouldn't be possible but I figured I would throw the idea out there since you mentioned 150 in your range. Hi,
I am getting married at Stewart Manor next November, so I am biased towards that location There is not that much outdoor space aside from the front lawn area, but the lawn is large and houses a lovely gazebo and they hold ceremonies, etc. out there when the weather is favorable. Also, James (the BM) is wonderful and SMCC will work with you to customize your menu - and pretty much anything else regarding your day.
I don't think a buffet sounds tacky. I have been to a couple of weddings that choose to go the buffet route and it's been great both times
