Help - need opinions please! (Poll)
Ok, here's the dilemna. I'm getting married at the vineyard caterers in June. My colors are pink and green. In the front lobby area and in the ballroom, the vineyard has these really nice staircases that in most pics I see are decorating with tulle that is swagged. A few months ago, I came across these:
and I fell in love with them. I think they'd be beautiful on the banisters instead of the tulle. The only problem is is that they're relatively expensive. The cheapest ones I found were $7.25 for the 12' garland. So, I was thinking maybe I could make them myself. Now, these are on thin wire, but I figured I could put them on fishing line or thread and still be able to swag them. I don't need the wire to shape them. Thanks to some LI girls, I got a link to rose petals at a good price. I was going to get 2000 pink petals and 1200 cream petals plus a $4 box pf rose petal soaps for the ladies bathroom for $75 including shipping. I figured with any extra petals I could use them to decorate the aisle. My question is this, if I can get 10 12' garlands for about the same price, is it worth it to make them myself? I'm having a hrd time determining about how many petals it would take to make my own 12' garland. What do you think? Thanks ladies!
