so FH thinks white vest/tie looks too guido i highly disagree....he wants black/black but that's what i want the GM to wear. i don't want the GM to match the BMs and don't want silver/platinum for the GMs.
i need pics of grooms and GMs in white/white and black/black combos please. i did a search and found a few, but i need a whole thread that i can just show him.

ETA: it will definitely be a BLACK tux, just white vest and tie...white tuxes are not an option!!

I like the black vest and black tie for my FH because when I look at pics of when my grandparents got married that is all they wore then- black vest and a black tie and I think it is traditional. Also, my FH looks better in darker colors so I am having him wear a black tie and black vest and the GM wear dark grey ties and vests. 1st pic FH- 2nd pic GM- it may actually be darker in real life- I took this from a website-
yes, black on black is traditional and is timeless..I have to agree with your FH on the white tux being a guido thing, sorry.....(but hey, Jason Priestley did it and he's no guido )

I knew that was what you meant !
FH initially didn't like the look of the white tie and vest, but after trying it on at the tux place he realized it looked good. I was lucky. He was originally pushing for purple. Ben at Tudedo Park helped convince him too.
