I'd like to DIY our programs but I'm not sure how. I'd like to do squarish pages tied together with a satin ribbon, and we have the text pretty much done, but I'm stressing about font and paper. (and cost!)
1. Fonts: Anyone know where I can download (preferably for free) fonts that look similar to attached photo #1? My laptop doesn't even hav any script fonts at all, so I'd need to download anything I use. Anyone know the names of something similar?
2. Paper: Our invitations are ivory linen paper and if it's not too expensive I'd like our programs to be the same (or just the cover if necessary). What website has the best prices? Any to stay away from?
3. How much did it cost you to do your DIY programs? How many did you make? Did you price out other options?
4. Can you post a picture of your programs and/or anything you've seen that is similar to photo #2?
check out Mrs Q-in 2007's profile- she has a TON of DIYs...will help give you ideas! Her programs were BEAUTIFUL!

Re: Help needed with a DIY project!
1. Fonts: Dafont.com. I think Chopin is similar to that....
2. Paper: I am using shimmery paper. I found the paper at Paperandmore.com, I'm not sure if they have linen type paper but my guess is yes.
3. How much did it cost you to do your DIY programs? How many did you make? Did you price out other options? I haven't done them yet but I'm estimating about $100 total.
4. Can you post a picture of your programs and/or anything you've seen that is similar to photo #2? Sorry... don't have any.

Re: Help needed with a DIY project!
wish i could help you... i'm in the same boat! i think staples has pretty good deals on paper (i'm also getting ivory linen) and try Monotype Corsiva as a font (MS Word). It's not as swirly as the script you posted, but still very pretty and formal and FREE.

Re: Help needed with a DIY project!
my laptop actually only had about 15 fonts, and none were script!! I looked on dafont and figured out how to download them and found a great caps font... except it gets grainy if i try to size it smaller than 14 pt.
However, i still havent found the same script font or anything similar. i will keep looking! thank you
