Help - NWR

We just got new Verizon cell phones - switched from AT&T/Cingular (me) & Sprint (FI).

I just realized all my cute ring tones need to be replaced. We both have the LG VX6100 and I am searching the net for free ring tones now and can't find any sites that list our phone model as compatible.

Anyone have this phone and know where I can find free ring tones?

ok - figured it out by calling Verizon. There are no free ring tones except the ones with the phone. Downloadable ring tones are all fee based. Even the free ring tone sites do not have tone compatible with the LG VX6100.

Wish we knew that BEFORE picking these phones.

Record a voice memo, and set it as your ringer.

I currently have quotes from Napoleon Dynamite as my ringer.

Here's a shortcut - open the phone, press the up arrow to put on speakerphone. open MENU, press 8, then 4. Select NEW. Record message after the tone, then select DONE. Select OPTIONS (right button), SET AS. Set to 'CALLER ID' - Voila, free ringtone!!!

You can do this with music, movies, any computer sounds.

Hope you see this!!! I'll FM just in case.

Just tried it!!!! Gotta love free stuff.

I did download some a few weeks ago from verizon via Get it Now (Sony Music box).

i have the same phone KD !!!
i just paid #12 for 8 tones - from the get it now. i got Baby Boy by Beyonce for DH


i was ok with spending that as i too got frustrasted lookinmg for free & then they only are in poly tone -not the real tone

Gotta love Beyonce. I have 'Dangerously in Love' as FI's ring.

Alicia Keyes 'You don't know my name' is for restricted ID callers so I know not to bother to answer.
