On Saturday/Sunday, I slept with AC on and woke up cold but was too lazy to turn it off so I just curled up and went back to sleep. Later on Sunday I felt a sharp pain (on the left) and then ever since I had a stiff neck. Sunday night I took a hot bath and took some advil and went to sleep. Yesterday at work it loosened up but moved to the right side
So I did the same as the night before and my hubby gave me a neck massage and I slept with one of those Therma Care heating pads. And nothing...still pain
Any suggestions???
TIA

This is what helps me...It is called Therma Care. You can buy it at CVS. It is in a red box.....What it is, is a heating pad that gets activated as soon as you take the pad out of the wrapping. You stick it on your back or your neck or whatever...and you leave it on for 8 hours at a time. I sometimes put it on when I goto sleep and remove it in the morning, or I put it on in the morning...and leave it on for work....If it is in a spot that no one can see it. I use it every time my back hurts....It makes it feel better within 3 times of using it. Scott

Re: HELP - Pain in the Neck....literally
thanks MrsTC and Danielle&Scott. I've tried those Terma Care heating pads.
But I just came back from CVS and saw something new - its like those Terma Care pads, but BenGay makes something like them - Pain Relieving Patch menthol topical analgesic patch.
I'll try them tonight - I'll let you know how they are.

I agree with the stretching! Definetly keep up with the heat- those microwave heating packs (the ones filled with flax seeds or buckwheat hulls) are excellent! GET A MASSAGE! Seriously though, it will help loosen up the muscles & get you out of some of that pain. See a Dr. if the pain persists, but I'm sure it's just muscular. Try all this stuff before you get a drug prescription. Feel Better!

Go to a chiropractor and get an adjustment-- it will work wonders!
