What are you getting your parents? I am stumped.. my parents are the type of people who have everything they need and would rather have us not waste our money... but I want to get them something since they are paying for our wedding!

If they have everything maybe it would be nice to get them something like a gift certificate for a day at the spa or broadway show tickets. I am having the same problem and leaning towards something like this.

we were thinking maybe a weekend out east for their anniversaries.....
i also saw some people doing those channa plaques.... thats kinda cool... we may do that and a really nice picture frame with their albums if the weekend thing doesnt pan out

my parents are the same way.. they buy whatever they want or need.. forget christmas noone knows what to get my mom. For our engag party we got them a gift card to a fancy restaurant they like. (after they both said why are you spending your $ your suppose to be saving it we don't need a thank you) They loved it. =) I recently saw another girl post saying she got her dad a gift card to a nice golf course. I think this would be perfect for my dad maybe even my mom. Maybe get them something they wouldn't normally spend $ on? play tickets? dinner in the city? airplane tickets? a night in a hotel?

My Mom insists that I don't get her anything but an album ... FH thinks its unnecessary to get his parents anything because they aren't contributing to the wedding. I'm just as torn as you are!

Also thinking of getting the fiance's parents some tix to a minor league team they live near... still have no idea for my parents!!!

I got my mom a fram engraved with our names and date, a 'mother' hanky ( she is a crier) and a charm for her pandora bracelet..
His parents got the same frame as mom and wine stopper and father of the groom socks :) HTH

I collected a bunch of family wedding photos to put on display at the wedding so for parents gifts I'm printing extra copies and putting them in college frames, so its their wedding pic, their parents wedding pics, and an empty spot for ours
