Most photographers have package deals, but if you call some can work with your budget. Especially since you only need the one book. If you dont mind posting it, what price would you like to stay below.

Re: Help-Photographer prices?????

I highly recommend Twelfth Night in Garden City Park. Their base package is pretty affordable and they are amazing. They don't have any prints or albums included with their packages - you get everything on CDs as slideshows to share with the family and also a master CD of all the proofs from which you can make prints or thank yous or design an album. They have album companies they recommend that you can work with or you can make your own online. The good thing is that you're not paying up front for any albums or things you're not sure you'll use, so you can make your album and pay for it after the wedding when you have some gift $ to spend. You can also go back and make parent albums later if you feel like it because you'll have the proofs electronically. HTH

for photographer alone it might be possible...albums though either you can do it on your own maybe or do them later...Albums alone are about $1,000

Dont forget you usually pay the last third (at least with TP) of the bill when you pick up your proofs, so if you have wedding monies you might be able to throw in albums after the fact.

You should check out Jeff Hutton.

He was a guest at my wedding and he got some great shots they are in my albums.

Here is a link to his site:

Just a suggestion - consider what you're getting as 'basic'... I went with Jeffrey Studios and for 2000 I am getting: one photographer from 11am to 11pm with an assistant, 24- 8x10's in a library album, 2 'folios' with 8 pics each (kind of like a mini-album), 25 thank yous, 1- 11x14' portrait, plus ALL of my proofs boxed AND on a low res CD, a studio engagement portrait session and all of my seating cards with our engagement photo on it...
Just to consider - I know it's over your budget - but, there's a lot that you get... I don't know what 12th Night offers in their basic... but if its comparable go with them. HTH

Re: Help-Photographer prices?????

Our photographer is Yun Gen Yang and we love him!

Here's his first package:
Main Photographer - $1800 + tax
o Up to 10 hours of Photographing time on wedding day
o Custom online gallery to View and Order Images.
o Includes online slideshow (around 85 pictures).
o Complimentary lifestyle session (up to 2 hours).
o $200 album or print credit.
o Around 700 pictures to choose for final album.
o Full Proof set of all images (4x6 Prints with border).
o DVD with all images in High-Res.

but he also does a la carte

- Main Photographer (3 hour min.) - $150 per hour + tax
o Includes CD/DVD with low-res photos.
o Includes online gallery viewing and ordering images.
o Includes online slideshow within a week.
o Over-time hour rate - $200 an hour.

- High Resolution Photos on DVD - $400

so if you don't want to pay for a photographer for the whole day, maybe you can plan so that they only come for part of the day....
