Help Please???
So, my church is at 3pm. I am going to have 8 girls including me, getting their hair done. I have about 4 getting makeup done. The hair dresser wants to do my hair first and start around 8am. I have to tell the makeup person a time when she can come.
Is 8am to early? When is a good time for me to get my makeup done?
I just want to know what everyone else is doing.
P.S. SHe is not coming to my house, we are getting ready at a hotel. I have to be back at my house around 1pm.

Re: Help Please???
I was told the bride goes last. I think 8am is too early for you to have stuff done and the church doesn't begin until 3pm. Why should you be sitting there while 7 other girls get done?

I was just told that too. That is why I am posting, to see what everyone else thinks. The hair person is a friend of ours, and does tons of brides. I would think I would go last as well, along with the makeup.]

Re: Help Please???
i think my hair person actually has me going first BECAUSE in the event that she gets pressed for time....someone's hair not cooperating (curls falling...whatever..) at least mine will NOT be rushed. she is starting with me and then if someone has to be 'rushed' through for time, it's not the bride.

That is what the hair dresser told me. SHe wants to spend the most time on me.

Re: Help Please???
Maybe each hair dresser has their preferance. I know I am going last, yet it makes sense that she does not want to rush you. I really do think that you MUST have your makeup done last though. Yours should definitely be the freshest!

Re: Help Please???
Why don't you just ask your hair person to do you somewhere in the middle of the other girls. That way you're not done too early and you also are not rushed.

Re: Help Please???
Every wedding I have been a part of, the bride goes first to get her hair done. Typically, the brides hair takes the longest to do.On that note: Talk to your hairdresser and make-up artist becuase they know timing the best. They are the ones that came up with my schedule.
As for me: My ceremony was at 2:30, and the photographer was getting to me at 1:00. This means I needed to be totally ready at 1:00 because I wanted no pictures of me getting dressed.
I got my hair done at 8am, along with my MOH and my niece because they needed to be at my room by 12:30 to get me dressed. I wanted to wait as long as possible to get my make-up done so I could put my contacts in at the last moment. So, once my hair was done around 10:00, I ate and watched the other 6 girls get their hair done. We chatted and had a good time.
Nothing was rushed. Then I brushed my teeth, put my contacts in and got ready for my 11:00 make-up appointment, which was done at noon. I got back to my room at 12:20 and got dressed. No stress, and I got to work in a food routine.
For me, it was worth having an extra 30 minutes to do what I needed to do (eat, relax, etc) than getting an extra 30 minutes of sleep in the morning, because sleep doesn't happen anyway because you're excited! I hope this helps.

Re: Help Please???
HELLO,MY SUGGESTION DO YOUR HAIR FIRST THEN MAKE-UP. IF YOU GET YOUR HAIR DONE FIRST YOU WILL BE FINE DO YOUR MAKE-UP AFTER.

Re: Help Please???
Actually, a photographer told me to make sure I go first so that I'm done and ready to go. He said he's seen it where he's had to sit and wait and everyone is rushing to finish the bride.Welcome New Vendors
