It's actually really easy to make your own albums. I made a guest book on MyPublisher.com and it took me all of 30 minutes to do. Personally, I prefer professional albums because the pages are thicker and they're generally just a little bit nicer. It's really up to you though. I know that there are a bunch of photographers that will give you all of your pics on CD so that you can do whatever you want with them later. Check out 12th Night for that.

I'm using Duet. We're getting albums, but we also get CDs so we can print our own re-prints later.

Good luck!

Re: Help please

First you should set a budget so that when you go into a photographer, you know what your limit is.

Also, you can make your own albums and bypass the photographer altogether. I am using Golden Moments and he even suggested this since we are getting all our pictures on a CD. Making them is really easy on-line.

Make sure your photographer will give you all your pictures, so that you can do whatever you want with them.

Look at the pictures they have and see if it is what you want and the style that you want. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions, because the more you know the better you are when it comes down to decision time.

Choosing your wedding photographer

more tips

I HEART GOOGLE!!! MORE TIPS!!!

WAIT!!! ONE MORE!!!

I did not read these pages so I have no idea if the content is really fabulous or not. I scanned quick to make sure they were US based - so much wedding info out there is from the UK and can be confusing.

Some brides (not all) think it's rude to ask for prices on a thread. I personally don't care but some do. It might be best to FM people if you have $$$ questions.

I personally have hired a great photographer - Candid Like Life. They are a vendor on here. When I was looking for photographers I stuck with ONLY the vendors listed on this site. It kept my list shorter and made it easier to find true quality. It also helps knowing that you have quite a tool with LIW. No vendors can screw you without getting screwed back! We take care of each other on here.

Do your own research! Don't take someones word for it. Make appointments and sit down with each studio you are interested in.

Good luck! HTH!
